The following is a condensed list of events that occurred in the town of Taos.

JAN. 6

2:03 a.m. Domestic disturbance,

Las Milpas Lane – Caller said a person was beating up his friend. 12:57 p.m. Public health order

violation, Taos Ale House – Caller said bosses are making the employees work without getting a negative COVID test and 30 percent of the employees working are positive and

refuse to wear masks.

8:03 p.m. Welfare check, Weimer

Road – Caller said a man in his 30s was yelling and screaming and banging on doors.

JAN. 7

11:30 a.m. Burglary automobile,

Paseo del Cañon – Caller said her wallet and vehicle were stolen. 11:35 am. Suspicious circumstance, Paseo del Pueblo Sur

– Caller said he received a gun case

he was told was empty but opened it and found a gun inside.

11:50 a.m. Disorderly conduct,

Super Save Discount Foods – Caller said a man refused to give back a cart he’s riding in and said he’s looking for a ride.

8:20 p.m. Wild animal, Paseo del Cañon – Caller said an elk tried to

run up the hill.

JAN. 8

10:13 a.m. Trespassing, Este Es

Road – Caller said there was a man harassing people in the RV park. 6:08 p.m. Reckless driver, Albright Street – Caller said there was a possible drunk driver in a tan

truck that headed onto Gusdorf Road.

9:02 p.m. Suspicious circumstance, Blake’s Lotaburger

– Caller said there were people

screaming in a truck. Responders said it was teenagers playing around.

JAN. 9

9:02 a.m. Larceny, Allsup’s

Convenience Store – Caller said someone stole her phone and

wanted to speak with an officer. 12:57 p.m. Public affray, La Fonda

Hotel – Caller said four people were yelling at each other in the

plaza and thought it may turn into a fight.

11:54 p.m. Harassment, Shell – Caller said someone is texting her

over and over again.

JAN. 10

8:50 a.m. Larceny, Taos Pro

Speed – Caller said someone stole $1,600 from their office when the

manager stepped out to help a customer.

10:15 a.m. Graffiti, Bent Street – Caller said her white benches were

tagged with graffiti.

1:16 p.m. Welfare check,

Speedway – Caller said there was an individual lying on the sidewalk

underneath a blanket between the gas station and car wash.

2:04 p.m. Graffiti, Juanita Lane – Caller said someone sprayed graffiti

on her house and fence.

JAN. 11

8:44 a.m. Larceny, Paseo del

Pueblo Sur – Caller said someone had stolen the cash register and deposits the night before. 10:37 a.m. Theft of motor vehicle,

Paseo del Pueblo Sur – Caller said someone stole one of the U-Haul trucks that hasn’t been

returned for two weeks.

5:20 p.m. Criminal damage, U.S.

Bank – Caller said someone broke her vehicle’s rear windshield while she was at work.
