Pitch in — and shovel some snow

Starting the new year with a major snow storm for Taos was a delight, adding moisture to the much needed area. Unfortunately, for us townies who like to walk around the area, up to Kit Carson Park, the plaza, it was a nightmare.

Residences, condo units, commercial properties up and down the street of Kit Carson Road did not shovel. One area was shoveled and that was in front of the Lora Real Estate company, we applaud your thoughtfulness. Even the resort when asked to shovel, indicated “we are a resort.” OK, but you still have a public sidewalk in front which needs to be shoveled for your guests walking up to the plaza.

It would be a pleasure to see, after the next snow storm, a community effort in shoveling walkways. Thank you.
