14th Annual Night of 1000 Stars

Taos Center for the Arts (TCA) is rescheduling the live shows of the 14th Annual Night of 1000 Stars from Feb 11-13 to May 12-14 at the TCA. There will be no auditions this week (Jan 14-16) and no dress technical rehearsals Feb 6-10. Auditions will be at the end of April with dress/tech rehearsals the week of the show and more information will be shared at the website: nightof1000stars.org. Improv class tonight (Thursday, Jan. 13) at Unity of Taos, 69 Blueberry Hill Road from 5-7 p.m. For more information contact Alice Zorthian at azorthian@ hotmail.com.

• Fechin studio exhibition “Reframed” by Matthew Thomas is on exhibit at the Taos

Art Museum at Fechin House, 227 Paseo del Pueblo Norte. Reframed explores the integration of place and identity into a physical and tactile realm. Admission is $10 for adults, $9 for seniors and military, $6 for students and children under 12 are free. The exhibit will be on view until Jan.

• Donabe Asian Kitchen presents Dorothy Romo-Manning’s collection of paintings of “The Visible Spectrum.” RomoManning uses acrylics in all colors creating geometric notations, melodies of light and color. Paintings will be on view and available for purchase until March 31 at Donabe Asian Kitchen (133 Paseo del

Pueblo Norte).

• Art exhibit by Scotty Mitchell at the Farmhouse Cafe and Bakery. A show of Scotty Mitchell’s pastels, drawn on site. The landscapes are drawn mostly in Arroyo Seco and Northern Taos, with a few from Abiquiu. Farmhouse Cafe is located on 1405 Paseo del Pueblo Norte in El Prado and is open from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

• An exhibition entitled, “Discovered Gems,” from Helene Wurlitzer’s private collection will be on display at 203 Fine Art from Nov. 27 to Jan. 31. The exhibition will feature art work ranging from photography to paintings both abstract to representational, portraiture and Indigenous art.

• “Panoramic Photographs of Northern New Mexico” by Gus Foster will be on display from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Harwood Museum of Art until April. Cost $10. For more information, call 575-7589826 or email info@harwoodmuseum.org.
