The following is a condensed list of events that occurred in the Town of Taos:

SEPT. 13

5:45 a.m. Suspicious Circumstances, Songs — Caller said there were two kids on bikes going up the ramp toward the restaurant. 7:31 a.m. Welfare Check, Allsup’s — Caller said a man was acting crazy and slamming the door. He left prior to law enforcement arrival. 2:25 p.m. Shoplifting, Albertsons — Caller said a woman stole baby wipes and diapers. The items were recovered and returned to the store.

3:04 p.m. Welfare Check, Albertsons — Caller said a woman was in the bathroom smoking for over 20 minutes. She was removed from the area.

SEPT. 14

9:08 a.m. Animal Stray, Taos Municipal Landfill — Caller said there was a dog running around the landfill.

9:11 a.m. Trespassing, Gusdorf Place — Caller with the housing authority said there was a vacant unit that people helped themselves to. No contact was made with anyone and the locks were changed.

2:35 p.m. Criminal Damage, Allsup’s — Caller said a woman was mad the power was out and punched a window.

9:47 p.m. Disturbing the Peace, Este Es — Caller said he was going to die in a few weeks and his neighbors were playing loud drums. Contact was made and the drumming ceased.

SEPT. 15

3:07 p.m. Welfare Check, Allsup’s — Caller said it looked like a few people were setting up a camp next to the cemetery. They had permission to be there.

5:30 p.m. Welfare Check, Los Pandos Road — Caller said a man was walking down the street holding a bat. No contact was made. 6:48 p.m. Larceny, Walmart — Caller said a woman was stuffing clothes in her pants and bag. No report was filed.

7:37 p.m. Animal Bite, Sunset Street — Caller said the neighbor’s dog came onto her property and attacked her and her dog. 8:24 p.m. Welfare Check, Holly Circle — Caller said there was someone who has been going into her house every night for years.

SEPT. 16

3:45 a.m. Shots Fired, Benny Lane — Caller said he heard two shots outside of his house. Contact was made with the caller, who was intoxicated, and the caller said he would rather go back inside than explain the situation. No report was filed.

8:41 a.m. Animal Stray, Michael’s Kitchen — Caller said a dog kept coming in and out of the restaurant and no one knew who it belonged to. No contact was made with the dog. 4:06 p.m. Civil Complaint, Domino’s — Caller said he went to Domino’s to pick up his last paycheck and they refused to give it to him. The caller was advised it is a civil matter. 4:29 p.m. Assault, Lotaburger — Caller said he asked for another milkshake and the worker pulled a gun on him. The caller apologized to law enforcement, and said the manager “reached” for his belt line, and no gun was drawn.

SEPT. 17

2:00 a.m. Robbery, Albertsons — Caller said a man got jumped and had blood coming out of his eyes. He was taken to the hospital. 6:02 a.m. Welfare Check, Paseo del Pueblo Norte — Caller said a man by the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge was lying halfway in the road and halfway on the sidewalk. No contact was made. 1:24 p.m. Fraud-Forgery, La Posta Road — Caller said he ordered Lotaburger online the previous night and when he went to go pick up the food they slammed the door in his face and didn’t give him any food.

5:45 p.m. Welfare Check, El Monte Sagrado — Caller said there was a disabled man in a wheelchair in the middle of the road who appeared to be stuck going in circles. The man was okay.

6:53 p.m. Information Report, Taos Plaza

— Caller said her son was going to the Paseo Project in a costume, but the costume included a machete, and she wanted to know if that was legal. She was advised not to let her son bring a machete to the event.

9:25 p.m. Assault, Taos Plaza — Caller said a guy grabbed his daughter’s butt and took off running. A man was detained and taken to jail.

SEPT. 18

12:52 p.m. Traffic Accident, Ranchitos Road

— Caller said a small SUV had rolled over and still had people in it. They were taken to the hospital.

12:25 p.m. Trespassing, John Dunn Shops

— Caller said a woman wearing black shorts and a maroon shirt was pulling milk out of the trash and was yelling and screaming.

1:33 p.m. Shoplifting, Albertsons — Multiple callers said a woman stole a bottle of liquor and assaulted staff members. One caller said the woman bit him but he denied medical attention. The woman was arrested and taken to jail.

7:05 p.m. Harassment, Super 8 — Caller said there was a “very drunk” woman harassing the guests. She was taken to the Quality Inn. 8:48 p.m. Information Report, Enos Garcia — Caller said there were kids playing basketball. Dispatch said the caller reports the same issue all the time, and did not suggest sending an officer over. By the time an officer arrived, the kids were leaving.
