Herson L. Vigil, of Taos

A resident of Taos, passed away peacefully January 14, 2023. He was born October 16, 1942. He was preceded in death by his son Herson Mark Vigil; father Max Vigil, mother Maria Sanchez Martinez; and parents-inlaw Bences and Corina Maestas. Herson is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Jeanette; daughters Catherine Pacheco (Leo), Margaret Makeba (Michael) and Anita, AKA Annette Kolter (Daniel); daughter-in-law Leah Vigil, other children Annette Caswell (Michael Blake) and Herson Romero; grandchildren Miranda, Leo, Jonah, Selena, Harlee, Brandon and many other family, relatives and friends. Herson enjoyed sports, flyfishing, hunting, and driving brand new cars, his favorites were the Road Runner and Grand Torino. He was employed by Moly Corp for 5 years, for the United States Postal Service as a Mail Carrier, at the Uranium Mine in Grants, NM and Taos High School, as well as other jobs.
